Kendrick Lamar Poster

Video Based on Static Poster

the idea

I was challenged with the task of making a series of typographic posters depicting events inspired by 3 music icons throughout history, including Bob Dylan, David Bowie, and Kendrick Lamar. After the three posters were completed, my next challenge was to turn one of these posters into kinetic poster, visually depicting the message represented by words and beats heard in the music that the artist makes.

Music Icons : Animated Poster Content Standards and Storyboarding

  Concept / Objective Audience Approach

This kinetic iteration if a Music Icons poster will illustrate the feeling transcribed by the music that Kendrick Lamar makes. I aim to use typographic movement in the composition to bring to life the meaning behind his beats and the words that he uses to make his work strong and empowering.
